Our Team

Brett Tanner is a Certified Financial Planner®. He has worked in the financial and insurance services industry since 1997. Brett joined Investment Planning Counsel in early 2008 after being in the industry for over 11 years. Brett is licensed as an insurance agent and was with Norbram from 1997 until recently, moving Tanner Financial Services into an independent business.

Brett is a former board of director for North York Chamber of Commerce. He previously sat on both the North York Membership Committee and the Ontario Chamber of Commerce Health Policy Committee. He coached Hockey and Soccer in King City for 20 years and was a board member for Noble King minor Hockey League.

Brett is a 3 time winner of the Edward J. Barilla Memorial Award as the top advisor in the province for the Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan. He has also been recognized with the Chuck Cino Award and was a recipient of the Outstanding Volunteer Award from the North York Chamber of Commerce.

Brett is the founder of Tanner Financial Charity Classic benefitting the Geneva Centre for Autism.
